Pink Floyd Tribute Art

A piece I made as a tribute to a band that has inspired me over the years. No matter where I am in my life I find I always get pulled back into the musical genius that is Pink Floyd. In this piece I composed a few icon album images together in an open psychedelic scene.

Theatre Crisp Album Art

"Theatre Crisp" the multi-talented 7 piece funk / hip-hop / rock band from Niagara contacted me to help develop the design for their newest album, " It's and Obligation". It was a great experience working directly with the band and creating their CD package design, promotional posters, flyers and social media content.

First Mural Attempt

I've always been fascinated by murals. Whether it be a street artist being commissioned or a building wall painted in a small town, I've liked the mystery behind it all. How did someone get commissioned to do it? How did they do it? How long did it take? How much did they charge? But as an artist myself my final thought was always, " That would be fun to do." So in the last month I was determined to come up with a design for my garage ( Inspired by the Canadian classic Red Green ) and follow through with getting it up on the wall and painting it. Although I am not officially done yet, here are some pictures of my process so far.

I used a projector to transfer the image to the wall then traced with pencil and painted with black paint. It took longer than I expected with all the details of the text, but I think its turned out great so far, can't wait to finish it off.

Album Art for Noisefloor

For the last few months I have been working on a new project for the Hamilton band Noise Floor. I reached out to a Dakota Allemang, bass player of Noisefloor and old highschool friend and offered my design and illustration skills to help them out with their new album artwork. The creative collaboration has been an amazing experience and we are both excited to see the final product in the next few weeks.

Listening to the band's previous album and some "top secret" new tracks I took the ideas the band had in mind and went to work to create a very hand drawn organic look for the album art on "Moral Compass". The Album Release show will be on April 8th at This Ain't Hollywood in Hamilton, Ontario.
