BIOGRAPHY

Tim Alblas

b.1989 | Lives and works in St.Catharines, Ontario, Canada.

Tim Alblas is a Canadian multidisciplinary painter recognized for his expressive realism and evocative abstract still lifes. His work combines gestural brushwork with curious explorations of light, colour and texture, and subject matter often layered with deeper meaning and symbolism. With nearly two decades of painting experience, Tim continues to evolve his practice by remaining grounded in process and experimentation that unfold from piece to piece. He has exhibited in group shows across Hamilton and the Niagara Region, sharing his work with a broad and engaged audience. He is committed to deepening his visual voice while exploring new directions in subject, form and technique.

ONTARIO BARN SERIES 

An ongoing series featuring paintings of old barns & farmhouses in Ontario, Canada. Various sizes painted with acrylics on wood panel or canvas.

ROCK MUSICIAN PORTRAITS 

Series of “Rock Star” musician portraits. Portraits were painted using ink and white acrylic on Mixed Media paper. The series included 20 portraits of various rock-related musicians sized at 9” x 9” (Originals) and 10” x 10” Prints.
